Test Tatting a doily design

This is another Elaine P. Gan design.  It's only the center so far.  It will be a doily when finished(a small doily I think).  I saw the design and saw the "flowers" pop out at me.  She tatted it in a single color, but I just have to make the flowers show!!!  :)
This is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch, and size 40 Yarnplayer's HDT Celery.
I have also been working on one of the very long tatted Christmas garlands for my friend
(this one and 1 more to finish).  And I have several crosses that need to be tatted soon hopefully!!  :)
Have an awesome night and I hope it was tatful!!  :)

  1. This is gorgeous Sue :). Love how well the 2 variegated colours go together to make the flowers stand out. I'm doing mine in 2 solid colours :). Similar but not quite the same as yours :).

  3. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous !
So glad you decided to go with the flower trellis/garland look . And amazingly (or deliberately?), the colourway has produced alternating yellow & pink flowers .

  4. I took one look at this and thought 'Mary Konior'. It's a sort of mix of Convolvulus and Wallflowers in two of her books. LOVE Mary Konior for her simplicity.

  15. I love Mary Konoir, but this pattern came out of amother piece that I was tatting free form. If I only have a tenth of Konoir's creativity.
